By researching demographics and economic data, it became clear that the need for housing across the state could serve as a powerful tool for fostering intermunicipal cooperation that would close the opportunity gap between residents fo the capital municipalty and its suburban neighbors.

The project engages the site from the regional scale, all the way down to the scale of the unit with the aim of creating economic and cultural exchanges between three We strategically chose a site which encompassed the political borders of three municipalities.

Our team planned a housing development that acted as a stitch by physically touching down in all three municipalities. At the level of the unit we designed
flexible housing conditions that could be customized by any user to suit the various lifestyles that make up Oaxaca’s growing demographics.
