In 2015 I was contacted by the italian company Banana Blue srl, which was looking for a new graphic style for its brand Leone 1974 Apparel.
The intention was to design an original and fresh line, specially intended to be worn by the athletes at the Rimini Wellness event and during the Oktagon tournament. In addition, the illustrations should have differentiate themselves from the graphics of the other collections of the same firm but mantaining the energetic character of the brand.
The company was enthusiastic about my idea of realizing different series of graphics: eachone based on stylized sponsor’s portraits caught in the moment of their sporting discipline.
Leonard Bundu is an Italian professional boxer sponsored by Leone 1947. Here the proposal of graphics dedicated to him with its own color variant.
The images have been studied to simplify the shapes with uniform colors to better meet the needs of the silk screen printing.
Giorgio Petrosyan's series
Giorgio Petrosyan, the ArmenianItalian kickboxer sponsored by Leone 1947, here is wearing the white version of the proposal realized for the Special Edition.

Alessio Sakara's series
Alessio Sakara, the Italian professional mixed martial artist and sponsored by Leone 1947, is wearing the black version of the proposal realized for the Special Edition.
The complete collection has been enthusiastically received from the buyer and from its clients, from the athletes and from their fans.
