4 stages of life
Thesis project
In this project is aboutthe exploration of the time from my childhood until the present. I believe nomatter how old we are, each of us have a dream that can be described in words. Thereare 4 stages that I went through such as Naïve, Curiosity, Lost, and Freedom. These 4 stages influences me a lot and shapes me a person.

To me birth represents the state of being naïve. When we were born, we knew nothing about this world and wereinexperienced. We greet most things with a smile. As time goes by, we grew tobecome children. When I was a child, I always like to play with toys. Whenevermy parents brought me to the shopping complex, I had to make sure I get myselfa toy, if not I will cry and whine. The reasons why parents seldom get me ahard toy is because I always lost it or broke it. So they get me toys that areindestructible. The toy that I never forget in my childhood was Winnie thePooh. It is soft to me and easy for me to hug it.

The color of bear is inyellow and until now it reminds me of my childhood whenever I saw toys that inyellow color. It might get dirty easily due to dust but one thing for sure Iwill always hug it when I sleep. The softness of the toy is the keyword to myfirst stage( Naïve). All of us went through the stage of childhood, there isalways something sweet and memorable to them. As a child, I always followed behindmy parents because I do not want to lose them. I was being naïve that I thoughtI will forever stay with them.

When I grew up, I startedto have the curiosity. The curiositywithin us grows and we would start questioning things. This motivates us tothink of ways to get the answers. Although we don’t know what is the dangerthat are awaiting, we still want to accept the challenge but not until we know aboutit. At the age of 11, there’s an incident that live in my memory. I was beingnaughty at that time. I had a younger brother which is 2 years younger than me.I got a coin from my pocket and put it into his mouth. He cried as the coin wasstuck at his esophagus. He almost died until my parents carry him and hold himupside down until the coin fell out from his mouth. It really made me feelguilty until today. If it’s without the curiosity, I wouldn’t do that.Curiosity can leads us to the answer that we’re looking for.

For teenagers, they arealways carefree and have no direction for their future. So they are consideredas lost. This is the very crucialstage for them. Once they get to know friends with bad family background, theymight follow their steps. Once they are lost, it is not easy for them to findthe direction. To me when I get up in the morning, my eyes was strike by thoseshiny sunlight, It makes me feel like I lost myself in the jungle. There is noone out there that can reach me. Just like when teenagers enter the pub and theclub. Inside the club, there is a crystal ball which shines brightly and makethem not aware of the time that is passing by.

And finally for the laststage (young adulthood), I use ‘freedom’ to describe it. We have learned tofight for what we want to do; and this is the best time for us to explore life.We need to have the encouragement to pursue our dreams. Freedom is our propertyand freedom is not how we speak because it is about how we are willing to fightfor it. Freedom also means that we believe in what we want, saying what we want, and writing what we want anytime and anywhere without being controlled.
