Scene MESS
From 1993 to 2013 International Theater Festival MESS has produced and coproduced 63 theater performances, working with 48 theater institutions from 11 countries in the course of the years. The production segment of the festival was devoted on international collaborations, inviting international theater artists to work in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as supporting young theater makers at the beginning of their careers.

After 20 years of participating in the creation of various performances as a producer and coproducer, in 2014 International Theater Festival MESS was renamed and registered as a theater production.

Scene MESS is a platform for experimental theater work, for exploration and work in-progress, for international collaborations and exchange of experience. We aim at producing complete theater performances, but in a creative atmosphere which allows artists to work freely and without pressure of expectations. Until we move into our own venue, we reside in different theater and non-theater spaces throughout Sarajevo, breathing in different poetics into various spaces.
