This design was intended for the marble craftsmen in Tulungagung. Marble stone processing is characterized by its weakness that it cannot be made too thin because it chips easily. It is paired with a resin material that is commonly used as a cover layer for porous marble to make it durable and stronger. Resin is also commonly used as a fastener of broken marbles, in addition resin can easily be molded into various shapes. So it is the idea to unite the two materials because they are mutually reinforcing. This design is a new alternative of marble handicraft that is generally only made from marble, or with other materials which are generally paired with a separate connection system.
