We had the privilege of creating the State Bank Of India’s first UK centric commercial.
Initially the story was to show a cross section of SBI customers and use of (potentially dry) typographic captions to show which financial products suited them. However we pushed to integrate the typography into the environments and create a more satisfying execution.
The film also is bespoke in nature and lives in a variety of cuts across different media, to best serve differing needs. Some of this includes specific in-jokes to those from the Asian community, such as the trend for keeping valuables in pressure cookers in India (so that jewellery robbers with metal detectors don’t find them!).
The result is a nice quirky series of spots that nods the brand into a more characterful and contemporary area.
