They Call Me is a fictional Young Adult novel for which I created a plot, handmade the cover imagery and designed the book jacket. The following is the basis of the story:
Patient 0042 had never left her holding cell before. But once the city’s nuclear reactor burst, so did the lock on her door. As her masters search for her, she has no choice but to camouflage into her surroundings to evade their controlling grasp, or return to the toxic wasteland where they’ll hold her prisoner forever. Now facing a whole new environment, she must confront questions of identity and fear as she tries to assimilate into this unfamiliar society.
Three dimensional typography for the cover was the focus of this project, as I created the title and supporting background imagery without the aid of a computer.
