TERRITORY OF FORMER TEXTILIANA, LIBEREC
The project site is located in Liberec, a town close to the northeast border of Czech Republic. The area used to be an old Textiliana factory, but since a couple of years the only sign left of the factory is a lonely building called Blaupunkt.
The designed urban structure takes the most important features of the terrain in to account - the stream, the good connection with public transport and the position of Blaupunkt. The design creates a balance between using the plot as a terrain for light industry, and creating a high quality public space. The terrain will serve the development of Liberec, and at the same time will highlight its big natural attraction, the stream ‘’Harcovsky Potok”.
