    The 5-week typeface design program that you’ve been waiting starting 20 June up to 22 July 2016. TypeParis is an intensive program in Paris, offering a unique approach in Europe to learn type design from scratch following a long tradition of curriculum started in France in the 70’s. Renowned professionals and experienced instructors include Jean François Porchez(Typofonderie), Mathieu Réguer and Julien Priez. Alice Savoie and Xavier Dupré will conduct specialized and hands-on sessions. The weekly international guest critics for #typeparis16 are Indra Kupferschmid, Martina Flor, Peter Bilak(Typotheque), Alexandra Korolkova (ParaType)… More people to be announced! This is a comprehensive type design program with work 5 days per week over 5 weeks, for a total of 160 hours with your instructors. The program is taught in English and covers traditional drawing and calligraphy techniques, type history, and modern software practices. Attendees will be given the references and perspective to understand the needed key structure of letterforms as a necessary foundation to design contemporary typefaces designs and styles.
