I had an abstraction assignment in design which involved creating three pieces of abstraction that represent a single topic. My topic was the shame placed on women for having certain body parts and not being allowed to show off the naked body, as it is deemed unacceptable. This piece shows a womans breasts turning grey, meaning that they are not allowed to be seen, and the crotch is red, as red symbolizes stop universally. I enjoyed abstracting the human body, which is a piece of art itself, and turning it into a complex ideal through shapes and symbolism.
