This family of packaging needed to stand out on the cluttered shelves of your local Best Buy. I did that by keeping the design as clean and stark as possible. Heroing the tasty industrial design of each product seemed like a must and worked well with a touch of gloss varnish on a matte laminated box. Playing off of the design of the product itself, I shot each one to wrap around the box and feature the unique shape while giving it dimension.
Collateral /
These pieces were designed to communicate what exactly a Slingbox is and how it can help get you free TV on your laptop or mobile phone. Seems simple, but it can get a little complicated, so I designed and illustrated this flipbook used in Best Buy stores across the country to help explain the details in a clear, concise and fun way. The other brochure you see here is a little more straight forward, but the photo is pretty.
Advertising /
The objective of this work was to visually communicate the idea that you can watch your living room TV on your cell phone or laptop. The wallpaper concept was so well received it was extended into a broader print campaign, a rich media online campaign and moving billboards. Just in case anyone asks, it was also featured in the 2009 Graphis Advertising Annual.
Web Video /
These rich media videos are a perfect example of a great client willing to trust us to do some really fun work. I concepted both of these ideas and I am also one of the couch tossers. Please note: These were produced without sound for the web, no need to turn up the volume.
