The ultimate goal of this assignment is to refurbish a selected site for Oriental Pied Hornbill Restoration Foundation. The foundation has three objectives, which included education, research, and outreach. It is a nonprofit foundation that seeks to enhance and promote awareness of Oriental Pied Hornbill in Pangkor Island. The culture and architectural context of the island should take into consideration in designing the building. It is intended to be respectful of the island’s architectural context, yet to create a sense of excitement about a new energetic presence on the island.
