LIGHTPAINTING WITH A KUKA KR16

After a testseries period of two months we finished this automated pixelstick-installation on a KUKA KR16 robotarm which I developed together with Johannes Braumann from Robots in Architecture for the exhibition "Creative Robotics" at Ars Electronica Center and I´m proud that it´s directly featured on the Ars blog. The KUKA robot holds an altered pixelstick (100 LEDs) and repeats a finished choreographed loop while screening a 3000x100 pixel long graphic. The screened picture is then captured with a live-videofeed via a max application which shows the animation paths in realtime with fading the single pictures fired by the pixelstick. Read the full article here: http://www.aec.at/aeblog/2016/02/02/lightpainting/ Making-Of-Photo by Florian Voggeneder.
