I recently had the pleasure of being asked to create illustrations for the Texas suicide prevention guide. I felt that to "spell it out" too directly would be insensitive, so I decided to communicate the themes of desperation, isolation and the feeling of being beyond help through the image of a vessel, lost in a seemingly endless sea.
Thankyou to Raven for this interesting and challenging project.
I hope you enjoy taking a look!
1. Understanding suicide (warning signs)
2. Community evaluation (identifying those at risk)
3. Prevention strategy (understanding the aid available)
4. After a suicide (helping those effected)
Thanks for taking a look! Feedback is always welcome, and be sure to appreciate the project, and follow me to keep up with my work!
