It's the most prestigious computer science institute in Hungary that has established itself on the international field of computer science research and development ever since its foundation in 1964. Researchers of SZTAKI contribute extensively to European scientific co-operation projects. Different groups within the institute work on projects for international and Hungarian companies, as General Electric, Knorr-Bremse AG., T-Com, MOL Rt. - the Hungarian Oil Company, RICOH, GE Hungary, NASA, ONR - Office of Naval Research (USA), Paks - the Hungarian Nuclear Power Station.
They initiated within the institute an all-encompassing overhaul of their existing brand identity. Our proposed bid for the rebranding was approved by the Institution and we began working on the project with the Head of Communications and his team at the institute. Our team functioned as a flexible extension to the communication department, a sort of outside in-house design crew for the duration of the project. That was around over a year in total.
The refresh coincided with a new brand strategy developed by SZTAKI's internal team that wanted to strengthen the international presence of the institute and show its excellence in the fields of computer science, engineering, information technology, intelligent systems, process control, wide-area networking and multimedia. Beyond their corporate employees, our design reaches around 20-50 thousand people a month.
