Purity is defined as absence of impurity or contaminants in a substance. The term also applies to the absence of vice in human character. I wanted to study purity of a substance –in this case water– and see if it can be visualised by very rudimentary means. For this I created ice cubes of water from four different sources and photographed them at roughly 10 minute intervals.
