URBINGO - urban game
Urbingo game set: box, map and cards (c) Laimikis.lt, 2o15
URBINGO is an urban orientation game
and alternative guide to the changing neighbourhoods.

This game was developed as a matrix for collecting and arranging neighbourhood stories and changing material culture, turning it into actively used archive. It is a tool for activating the interest in the rapidly changing neighbourhoods and their stories, and encouraging citizen participation in gathering the valuable empirical data on the material culture of the changing neighbourhood.

It consists of: • illustrated map • visual cards with the neighbourhood’s elements • text cards with notes and historical facts.

Map detail
MAP covers the territory of the game. You can use it as a guide through districts streets and inner yards. It could also become a picture on your wall. The city’s changing rapidly and some of the objects in the map may not be found in reality. So be curious and observant city explorer, to recognize the places and to find hidden elements.
CARDS are of the two kinds: ones with images, others with texts. Pictures are like vitamins for your curiosity, they call you to investigate unique and strange places of the neighbourhood. Text cards may give you some new knowledge about the place. We hope that after reading these stories you’ll notice unseen objects and will learn new facts about the place.
