Being from Belgium myself, i have heard so much about this train station in Liege-Guillemins. The competition was won by the Spanish Architect Santiago Calatrava. Famous for his highly engineered projects that are somewhat looking like sculptures themselves from nature. He mainly uses concrete that is almostpure white.  Each project is like an art sculpture that is carved to be beautiful. His work somehow refers for me to the work of Michelangelo, this by starting with a rough block of marble and carving it into a smooth art piece.

Before visiting the train station, i would recommend seeing the documentary about it.
