In January (2016), my wife, son and I headed to Western Australia for a week to catch up with some of my family.
One morning whilst in the little country town I grew up in (yes, it is called Bruce Rock.... don't ask!), I headed out to grab some shots of the lay of the land.
I also grabbed a couple of family portraits, plus a portrait of my Nan (she's 91), who is one of those legendary country women who just goes and goes and goes.
Then, on the trip back to Perth, I stopped to grab a few frames of a small lake with a rising salt problem. This lake has been there far longer than I've been around, and I've always wanted to shoot it. Again, I'd have preferred to do it either early morning or late afternoon, but this was the only option on this trip. Ce la vie.
