Octopus Tea Light

Typically when 3D printing you are restrained to one type of material. Using even the most advanced printers available this limits the kinds of products that can be produced. In this challenge I searched for common everyday object that could be enhanced by a 3D printer. LED tea lights seems like a perfect choice. They are cheap, plentiful and plain.

Charm and character is given to the simple tea light with this playful octopus design. It is easily printable by any consumer grade machine and looks good in a variety of colours. The print cost approximately $2 in plastic filament and took 5 hours to print.
