Story:
I was commissioned to do the design of a t-shirt for a bowling team consisting of 5 local friends. My briefing was simple, work your magic and preferably something with a pinup. We also like beer, cars, bowling,... That being said I worked out a very fast sketch on a piece of paper. They didn't have a name yet for their team so I just used bowling stars as filler.
Upon agreeing this was less or more the style they were looking for I did a more serious sketch of the pinup. This sketch I would import in illustrator and redraw it. Thanks to my Wacom Tablet I could now add all the details which I needed to make this work a succes.
Completely digitalised and with details drawn my pinup looked like this.
Yet I wasn't fully happy with the result. Adding it like this to a tshirt wouldn't look great and I promised a great looking end-result. So I added their name in a vintage font, and made a background with a retro sunburst. The end result came out great!

Design I did for a team of 5 local bowlingfriends. They will use the illustration on their tshirts and perhaps other applications.
