Buddha image with 9 persons popular in Thailand - Phra Setthi Nawagot. I was able to find such a legend:

In severe times for the Kingdom of the monk-aria (saint) have his novices to make such a Buddha image with nine persons. Nine faces of statues identified with the nine-wealthy merchants-the followers of Buddha, bestowing large sums on the formation of the Buddhist community (sangha) and dissemination of the Dharma (the universal Law of Being, open the Buddha). Nine followers eventually themselves have achieved varying degrees of holiness and considered Aryans. During the ceremony of consecration of the first nine-faced Buddha statue novices were able to observe a lot of inexplicable miracles.

"Setth" means rich in Pali and "Nawagot" means 9 infinities. It is believed that the Buddha can give us dignity and wealth that he accumulated in their previous lives.

Print is based on the symbolic image of the Sephiroth Tree. Two snake symbolize the choice of the way.
