"Patashnik" is a famous 1994 ambient album of Geir Jenssen (aka Biosphere) and also one of my favourite records of all time. I designed 6 alternative covers for this album, as a part of my university task.

According to Geir, the word Patashnik is allegedly Russian cosmonaut slang for "a traveler" or "a goner", a cosmonaut who didn't return from a space mission because his security cable disengaged and he was lost in space.

To convey the atmosphere of the album and the word 'patashnik' itself I designed special symbols, based on Babylon alphabet and old Norwegian runes and used my photographs of Israeli deserts and rocks for backgrounds.
