Born in Santa Maria da Feira, Portugal, in 1967. Lives in Lisbon. College degree in History, Art History variant of the University of Lisbon. Professional illustrator since 1994, specializing in scientific illustration, biological and archaeological as well as historical reconstruction. Major work for public institutes and companies (ICNB, IGESPAR, Lisbon Oceanarium), municipalities, and NGOs in the environmental field. Member of the "Grupo do Risco" fieldsketchers.
