Billboard Designs

The Silverado version worked perfectly on the side of a building right across the parking lot from a hardware store.
Bill Harris is a local car dealership, and they loved the idea of using simple, striking imagery with just their name, instead of cluttering it up with starbursts, websites/phone numbers/addresses etc. The end result was impactful and definitely memorable.
Homeworks General Contractors is a small construction company, but let me come up with a fun, and timely billboard design for them! There had recently been a tornado in the area, and they wanted to focus on insurance claims resulting from that. It jsut so happened that Sharknado was just released too, and I thought it would be fun to tie the two together, never thinking they'd actually go for it! This board is right next to the road in the middle of town, where the speed limit is only 25MPH so even with a few more words than I'd normally use, it had a huge impact.
This was a hard one to design...Pippy was killed in a car accident just months after her wedding, and the autopsy revealed she was pregnant, but didn't even know it yet. Her mother wanted to commeorate her life, but also encourage others to consider organ donation. The family LOVED the design I came up with, and it had a fantastic response locally, but also throughout social media circles.
Fun Halloween digital billboard in downtown Columbus spread across three separate panels.
Design for a local potato chip campany based in Zanesville OH.
It's not every day that a local lawn mower dealer lets you come up with fun taglines, especially Billy Idol related ones.
Dirty, but in a good way.
Sarah Palin approved...
One of my favorite things about billboard designing for local companies, was coming up with fun/catchy taglines. Hungryet? You are now...
Sleep like a baby...
Everyone deserves an advocate.
This was Tony and Dallas, two of our very own Ops Crew...they were pretty excited to see themselves when they actually hung this one up!
Remember/Reflect
Another 9/11 design from a few years ago. This photo was taken on a board in Oklahoma City.
11/11/11 Honoring those that served in the past, present and future. Thank you veterans.
A real basketball hoop mounted right to the billboard, and an 8 foot tall player dunking makes this board in Sandusky OH really stand out!
Ahead of the MLS Cup played in Columbus between the Columbus Crew and Portland Timbers, I designed this to run on digital billboards all over Columbus. The background photo was taken by myself a few weeks earlier at their playoff game against Montreal.
Lebron James deciding to come back to Cleveland was a HUGE deal around here. This design went up on digital billboards in Columbus and near Cleveland within moments of "The Decision Pt 2"
Unfortunately, this company never ended up buying this billboard, but a different bike shop in upstate NY borrowed this design for their billboards a year later!
Dreamy.....
One of my favorite taglines. Fits the photo perfectly!
Some of the best taglines I ever wrote were for Pediatric Consultants, back when they just turned me loose and let me have fun!! An instant classic.
14x48 is just about big enough for the Pizza Hut BIG DINNER BOX!!
Simple=Effective
Built from scratch in Photoshop.
Working headlights on a billboard? Yep.
The working headlights obviously look way better at night.
FIVE sets of working headlights on another billboard!
50' tall banner in downtown Columbus OH. If you notice, the window on the banner is actually the same as the window on the bottom right side. And the waterfall is only a few miles away.
Not going to lie, it is always pretty cool seeing your designs being put up by a giant crane! No little banner ads can say that!!
