A small App. development company wanted to make a music player aimed at young college students. The app needed to have a simple UX and a UI asthetic that would relate back to the target audience. This helped inform the idea behind Review; a study compainon that helps you achieve the best results from your study session.
Developed from the insight that music can help focus the mind, Review would allow users to select a type of study session they wanted to perform and the app would pair their session with appropirate music. For example, a "Cram" session would provide high tempo music playlist to keep you motivated and help boost adreniline, while locking your phone from distractions for an hour, only allowing a 15 minute break after every hour.
Further, Review encourages users to create group study sessions so music can be played on rotation through peers music library creating more variety. It also creates a sense of accountability as if one person chooses to leave the study group an alert is sent to everyone, so no one can bail out early.
