Draftpick is a simple online card game based on big sports figures and depending on their real life statistics. During ten picking rounds players gather a dream team with five members. Each member has its own stat score so player with the biggest summary score wins. There are most popular US sport leagues collected such as NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB etc.
Each player has 60 seconds per turn. The way of picking is similar to backyard games when two captains select team members turn by turn before having the full stack. The key moment is the fact that player doesn’t know what score picked member has at the moment — it’s better to be a good sports fan to succeed in this game.
All past and upcoming events are presented as timeline stream with color-coded cards. After the game has been ended the results card appears. It has all game stats and teams picked by opponents inside with ability to compare each player in opposite teams.
Draftpick was the first app I ever made in Sketch. I’m glad to empower my toolbox with such a powerful thing for working with UI stuff. Also there’s a fast-growing community of enthusiasts and makers who improve Sketch with great plugins like Content Generator which has many different sorts of content like photos (persons, userpics. even flickr), names, numbers etc. For example all avatars in my mockups were generated by this plugin.
