The project group were to design a new and improved cabin for Kiruna Utility Vehicle's slag hauler SH60, to help them create a more competetive product. The main focus lied within creating an attractive and modern design with both function and fit. Improvements were mostly made on the exterior, but the interior were also conducted, only in a smaller extent due to a limitation in time. The interior will be developed further and at a greater extent in a master thesis carried out in the spring of 2016.
The project included a long and extensive design process where we got to use our abilites and knowledge learned through out the education, to create a satisfying result.
The SH60 Asio cabin will be sent to production after the master thesis is completed and Nybergs Mekaniska Verkstad & Kiruna UV finalizes the development.
