Ultra-Lite Fuselage with iPad Integration
Design Propsal
This was a University Industrial Design project, based around a small Adelaide company that creates a small number of bare framed Ultra-Lite aeroplanes a year. The business wanted to expand into producing full fairing Ultra-Lites incorporating a new digital gauge system which is relayed and displaced through an iPad.
Most Ultra-Lites on the market have a naked chassis but some do have a fuselage, but most have just been added as an afterthought and generally look hideous. I wanted to exploit this gap in the market and design a Ultra-Lite with an integrated unique bold and aggressive aesthetic, which had numerous configurations for the iPad.
