After the end of Buddhist Lent /Wan Khao Phansa/ (3 months during the raining season that monks need to stay at one place) it's time for big celebrations everywhere in Thailand. In the area of Pai northern Thailand it was like a small fest for a couple of days gathering all the people from the valley and surrounding hill villages. One of the main attractions there were a Muay Thai fights, but they are based more on a respect and friendship, than on a fight and sport aggresion. All the photos are made in one single night with very poor lightning only a couple of lights.
Muay Thai fighters are always paying respect before the match. To their opponent, to god and to the audience.
Kids and probably future fighter are watching the match straight at the ring and screaming for their favorites.
The "professional" help between the rounds is coming from a bucket with iced water.
It could be small village matches, but they have commentator of course.
The real fans can't sit on their chairs.
Respect to your opponent is the most important in this fights.
And the end is here.
