Typography: Chalk Type
 
This was a short typography project given to us to experiment with a given media- chalk- and use it in any which way we pleased. I decided to use the sticks of chalk as objects to create type, rather than writing with them. We were also given a short word in which to work with, I got 'BOLD'. I simply used the studio floor as the background, which was a dark grey/black rubber, full of scuffs and various markings which gave off a chalk-board effect when photographed.

After laying out various typefaces, I photographed them individually and added a black and white effect to eliminate any colour that may have been captured, and ensuring a clear contrast of the chalk to the backgound.
