    These paintings are part of the exhibition "Maya Magic", inaugurated on December 18, 2011 in Café Via Via, Copán Ruinas, Honduras. Most images are taken from Maya codices, without any alteration except for the bright, bold colours. I called the exhibition "Maya Magic" because it is pure magic to me to transform often small and faded details of Maya imagery into bright, happy images that scream for attention. The more I study Maya art, the more I’m intrigued with the lines, the details, the shapes. It’s "pura fiesta" to transform Maya images into modern art! Read Less
