As I did a research about Paul Rand, I tried to express the history of the American graphic designer in ‘graphic’.
The work is in a sequential order since his birth in 1914, and is demonstrated in a way that how corporates can draw their competitiveness and creativity through his design works that were able to capture both commercial viability and artistic value.
 
Since he had been always in the center throughout the changes in American graphic design, looking at his timeline is not much different from looking at the history of the American graphic design itself.

Also, instead of dividing commercial art and fine art separately as if they are water and oil, Paul Rand refined them into one, and such firm philosophy is reflected in his works as the simplest and core ideas even after so many years.

This work has been expressed applying his own graphic style to portray himself and his timeline with intuitive illustrations and pictograms.
