Assignment:  Create a small scale display using a fruit or vegetable.

Concept:  Demonstrate threat of bee extinction to bee-pollinated foods.

Process and materials:  Used cut lemon and yellow paint to create lemon-print background; covered background with a layer of chicken wire, playing off of the honeycomb pattern; used white floor tile to create honeycombs; printed and used X-acto knife to create bee; arranged lemons under a chicken wire cage barrier.
