Impact Sports Harness
Industrial design/ Design strategy
Sports training is a very unique industry, and one that I have a personal interest in. With a history in football and track I knew that there were design opportunities available in the areas of speed and agility training. During my research, I found that while there are specialized stores, Sports Authority, Dicks Sporting Goods, etc, almost no training tools are found at mass retail stores like Wal-Mart, or even fitness stores. The main reason for this was the extreme range of products available and the fact that there are no overwhelming favorites. Rather than just designing another product for the pile, I designed a harness which unifies all the users current products, and makes the overall training experience easier, safer, and faster so that each workout has the biggest impact possible!
One of the most important attachments to the impact is the sports bag. The bag itself was designed to be light weight and durable, and easy to clean. It also has a unique expandable center pocket to store a football, basketball, cones ,shoes, etc.

The bag is tight and secure, but easily removed using two buckles on top and two buttons on bottom.
There are also attachments for 2 elastic carrying cases. They can be used independently to carry gear, or in combination with the sports bag giving additional storage options. Furthermore, the user can attach weight bags for additional training!
Quick and easy adjustability was a focus of the project. the impact utilizes 3 main points of adjustability. the waist strap, back straps, and a strap to hold the straps tight t the chest as seen below.
