Currently doing a course at UTAS - Photography and Social Media. It's about taking great photos and posting them to the social media site that seems appropriate to your needs. I am doing Fine Art at Uni and I really wanted to create cohesive projects that include digital imagery and manual printmaking to tie in with my printmaking major at Uni.
Photography and Social Media requires a ten photo series that explores a theme. My current thought in regard to this is that I will try what I am calling "The Quiet Earth". This is based on the 1985 sci fi film where a man wakes up to find that all people have suddenly disappeared. My idea is to use deserted urban landscapes, specifically looking for places that would normally be crowded with people.
This is the first photo I have taken to this end . Empty carpark.
This is at home which is not what I planned but just experimenting with photos of seemingly left behind objects
