The above logline is for a fictitious film titled FRAIL. It is one of the optional sequences I challenge my students to create during my Main Title Design course on Learn Squared. In Lessons 6 and 7 of the course, I demonstrate the complete design, 3D, and compositing techniques I used to create the styleframes below, as well as how I pitch and sell my ideas to clients. My journey throughout the creation of this sequence is a thorough exploration of my process from start to finish, as I attempt to solve a client's creative brief. My goal with these two very intense lessons is to prove how powerful simple tools can be when used in the right context, and how substituting 3D for live-action can save you time and resources.
