The Virginia Aquarium wanted to redesign their plain one color tickets to be a keepsake item for visitors. Previously, the bulk ticket stock was printed in blue and then at point of sale the detailed visit information was printed in black. Due to budget restrictions the tickets had to remain one color and the black tracking bars had to remain on the uncoated side of the ticket. The tickets were designed to fit the detailed information along the same side as the admission guidelines. The uncoated side of the ticket features a bold illustration creating a sense of fun and excitement.
