The project explore the way in which different "communities" react by absobing each other,
to create a symbiotic relationship over time. The two analyzed communities are: the living world of plants
and the inanimate one of daily objects. For these reason i decided to create a serie of “living hybrids” ,
by combining succulents and domestic objects connected through grafts and artesanal techniques.
A unique metamorphosis.

Plants seek the light / The lamp and the light will follow the behavior and the movement
of the plant / The expectation is that the plant and the lamp will meet and absorb
each other at some stage of their lives, following a very slow and long process.

The domestic object is

but is a “living“ part
of the house

By using the classic grafting technique, I connected the roots of the upper plant with
the pulp of the cutted plant to make them interact. From this process was born a new hybrid,
in which each element is incorporated and grows in symbiosis with the other.
Then I inserted the meter and linked it to the grafted plant.
The idea is that the hybrid-plant on the top, by growing, will pull the meter set
on the one below,giving a visual representation and an
ephemeral measurement of its life cycle.
