During the Vietnam War the US Army struggled to define what sort of pack the soldiers should have and what they should put in. After some research, designers called their product the All-Purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment shortly ALICE.

Turkish Commando Soldiers need to carry backpacks which are nearly 35 kg each. This backpack is for camping and also for other equipment like pistol belt, camouflage clothes and etc. All these equipment are needed during military operations.

Turkish Commando Soldier Backpack is called Alice Field Pack. The Alice military backpack was first used in January 1973. Designed to imitate the older versions used in World Wars I and II, the Alice Pack was a necessity for the United Stated army fighters in Vietnam War.

ALICE backpack has an external
frame to make the backpack easy to carry for the soldier. However, they are not economical. The ones with internal frames are ergonomic to carry for a long time, but they expensive. For that reason, the Rightpack have movable internal frame which will cost as
cheap as external frame and as ergonomic as internal frame.

The backpack suspension decreasing the stiffness significantly reduces peak values of vertical pack force, movement on torso, which is important for implication to the pressure on the skin under shoulder strap and waist – pistol belt force and for the risk of injury when the heavy loads are carried. So the new strap is more ergonomic to use and made out of breathable fabric.

Another thing is quick release; there is non-effective quick release pin on Alice Field Pack strap. However, while soldiers walking in the woods or mountains they might get attacked and to hide they have to remove the backpack by using that non- efficient quick release pin which is not much possible. So they cannot hide or fight back efficiently.

How quick realse pin works ?

The moment he pulls the pin, male part releases from female part and bag will drope.
