The Idea
The idea behind this campaign was to position the features and benefits of Endeca (Oracle Commerce) as the lead characters in an upcoming movie. The movie would be called The Personalization Engine which refers to a way of using Endeca in an e-commerce setting to personalize web pages and search results. As part of the campaign a cocktail party was hosted in San Francisco at the Foreign Cinema restaurant. Foreign Cinema is a restaurant that has an indoor/outdoor atrium where movies are shown on the wall behind diners. The restaurant is dedicated to the spirt of movies and in keeping with that spirit, I designed these to be like movie posters. They were printed and hung in the restaurant for the event and postcard size versions were given to guests as a leave-behind. The captions below the images display the copy that appeared on the back of the postcard leavebehinds.
Tools used were Adobe InDesign and Photoshop. Images were sourced from www.dollarphotoclub.com and www.peopleimages.com. Posters were on-demand printing using Kinkos/FedEx web app with pick up in store.
