Studio On Demand

Studio On Demand is a service designed to give students the opportunity to collaborate with enterprises.
After a strict selection, the best students from design master courses will be sorted by hyper-specialized skills
to focus on your ideas and please the market request. Fresh creativity, transparency and expertise is what we swap for experience and recognition.

The world of creativity is branching into new professional  figures and well defined competences. This path leads creative people to be little pieces of a big whole ew technologies played an important role: many platforms have grown to provide crowd sourcing and co-working systems among “creators”. By the way, when we talk about students, there seems to be a gap in the connection with companies. Students of today will be the professionals of the future, and alongside the refining of their skills, they claim for flexible job opportunity. Our thoughts are aimed at designing a new system where design universities could promote their creative crowd by encouraging professional collaborations. This system would foster working experience for young talents, along the way creativity is evolving: sourcing and co-working.
Studio On Demand is a no profit organization associated with Politecnico di Milano designed to give students the chance to collaborate with enterprises. After a strict selection, the best students from design master courses will focus on your ideas and please the market request. Fresh creativity, transparency and  experience and recognition. Give us your brief and we’ll work it out.
The offer covers three main areas: research, concept and prototype. They can be arranged according to the company request in six different packages.
The research part is about user observation and context analysis. It is divided in three parts: the observation, which implies ethnographic research techniques such as interviews and shadowing, the elaboration of data and the visualization. Time and costs will change according to the request and the final delivery consists in a  containing data visualization associated with scenario, problems and opportunities. booklet
The concept part is the main offer. Starting from a detailed brief and data research, we set problems and solutions through design process techniques. Here’s where academic training is put into test: from brainstorming to idea visualization, the aim is to deliver one or more creative solutions to please the vision of the company.
The prototyping part includes all the practical tasks to visualize the concept. We clustered them in four main areas (modeling, branding, communication and multimedia). These deliverables involve the studio in the final part of the design. Highly specialized skills are needed.
In the artwork we can see the inside and outside actors of the system.  In the first group we have Politecnico, the provider of workshop and professors, Polidesign for its connection with the companies. Polidesign plays an essential role in ur service without its connection Studio on Demand could not exist. Students are the main actor of the system, they are the core of the service, in two ways: first they compose the database of the Studio, being the suppliers, but under another perspective they are the recipients since they earn experience. External sources are helping and supporting the system.Jeme for marketing research ( and also connecting us with companies ), lawyers, accountant and notaries that support the burocracy and the factories as source of work.
This map is a combination of the journey of the two main stakeholders: the students and the clients.

Companies can submit their brief on the platform and the service managers will sort the best students to form a dedicated team to   develop it. The offering is split into packages containing user research, concept generation and developing. The team will work on the design and make periodic reviews through the service account.
