The brief for this project was to create a book cover for the novel Carrie’s War by Nina Bawden. The brief came from Penguin Random House Design Award 2015 and was complete as a student project. In the illustration I have worked with the themes fragility, nostalgia, memory and evacuee. I wanted the illustration to tell a story about a young and fragile girl who is thrown into the grown ups world and barely survives.
