Through this course I understood the interrelationship of an element copper and coppersmith. There are many influencing factors betweenthem such as consumer behavior towards the product made formcopper, change of time, lack of knowledge in finding a right channel ofmarketing, proficient use of management skills and other factors.
Tambat Ali Peth
It is located Kasba Peth, Pune where coppersmithcommunity live and work . The word ‘tambat’ comesfrom ‘tamba’ (Copper in Marathi). Now less than 15 families of Coppersmiths are living in Tambat Ali. The Twastha Kansar community gets its name from Twasthawho was the third son of Vishwakarma, the engineerof the Hindu Gods. The tambats claim their origin fromhim. The word “kansar” is derived from their occupationand denotes people who either make bangles or makeand sell Copper or Brass.

In India, Contaminated water are behindof the most diseases like Typohied, Cholera etc. By using copper waterbottle we prevent the diseases . And traditional craftsmanship anddecorations give a human touch to the bottle.
