Challenge

Thinc Savannah is a co-working space located in downtown Savannah, GA. The goal of the business is to provide a rich and inspiring environment to work where collaboration and networking amongst individuals in the office is strongly encouraged. As a new business, Thinc Savannah was struggling with attracting new members to join the space. As my introduction to Service Design methodology, I was given the opportunity to explore the space and investigate opportunities for delivering a more engaging pre-interest experience.
We examined the different phases of the service using the lifecycle journey map. The pains and gains are derived from re-occuring patterns observed from conducting interviews and creating the empathy maps based off of the individual members.
After conducting a series of interviews we put all members on an attribute scale to discover personas that represent players of the ecology.
Service Staging
tested insights and designed artifacts through staging a pre-interest experience.
Secondary research consisted of defining themes that demonstrate, express and reinforce the vision and values of Thinc Savannah. This gave us a foundation for moving into the ideation phase of the project and helped us to design a series of touchpoints existing in the pre-interest experience. As secondary research we did a co-design activity by hosting a “open house” event at Thinc Savannah, followed by a brainstorm session with the participants. We also did various role- playing activities in order to stage specific service scenarios.
