"MELLOM", Norwegian for in-between, is a stool designed with inspiration from architecture. It is designed to evoke curiosity from the viewer by playing with the roles of support- and bearing-structures one find in modern architecture, where what should have been the bearing structure is in fact the support structure and vice versa. This is further enhanced by cutting the legs off before they reach the seat, which in turn gives the seat a light and almost floating character.
