How can the BBC maintain engagement outside broadcasts? The BBC want to create a digital solution that’s part of the Crime Watch experience; that enhances the existing Crime Watch offering. How can they best maintain the live action momentum of the programme and create a compelling relationship between television and digital?
To create a sub-branded digital solution experience alongside the Crime Watch programme. This will create an extension of the Crime Watch brand which will engage there target audience.
A phone based application named BBC Impact, which uses Crime Watch appeals and user uploaded content, to create a relationship between the programme and the audience. Creating a stronger community and gaining crucial information for the current Crime Watch appeals.
