The Art of Travel offers luxury travel to Japan; AOT is composed of a select group of artists, designers and writers who are all intensely passionate about their country. Together they share personal insights with special access and unique opportunities to experience galleries, gardens, artist studios and individuals.
For the logotype we wanted to play with the rising-sun motif to emphasize the “Japanese-ness” and elegance of AOT’s mission. The website user is invited to explore the stories through rotating photography carousels; the clear structure moves effortlessly from one article to the next.
In 2011 we were invited to join The Art of Travel team for two weeks and made 12 short films about the cultural life in and around the Hokuriku region.
