This video was produced to accompany a NSF Discovery Article that I wrote on NSF funded researcher, Howie Choset of Carnegie Mellon University, and his snake robot that surmounts all types of Terrain.

The beginning portion of the video provides and intro to motion and speed leading into why Howie Choset is conducting this research. This type of robot is not only being used in search and rescue, but with heart surgery and archeological diggs.
