Bar Espressionista

BRIEF

Progettazione di spazi di frequentazione. In particolare, la progettazione di un bar dalla struttura esterna alla definizione dell’arredamento interno.

Designing spaces for attendance. In particular, the design of a bar from the exterior to the definition of the interior.

PROGETTO PROJECT

Il progetto prevede la scelta di una delle due strutture base assegnate, una cubica e l’altra a quarto di sfera, che rappresentano l’una il razionalismo e l’altra l’espressionismo. La scelta è ricaduta sull’edificio a quarto di sfera che permette di mettersi alla prova dal punto di vista dei vincoli formali.Lo spazio si è definito a partire dal disegno dato dalla scala che porta al soppalco e che forma il retro del bancone. Il soppalco è caratterizzato dalla sua architettura a onda e dal fatto che la soletta “esce” all’esterno e crea la copetura dell’ingresso al bar dove sono stati disposti i tavoli. Altra caratteristica dell’involucro è un taglio fatto nella copertura che permette di dare luce all’interno e, contemporaneamente, crea un gioco di vuoti e pieni con la facciata.

The project involves the choice of one of two basic structures assigned, a cube and a quarter-sphere, representing respectively the rationalism and expressionism. The choice fell on the quarter of a sphere building which allows to test from the point of view of the formal constraints. The space has been defined starting from the drawing given by the stairway to the higher level and which forms the back of the counter. The higher level is characterized by its architecture-wave and the fact that the sole goes "out" of the building and create a coverage on the entrance to the bar where the tables were arranged. Another feature of the envelope is a cut made in the cover which can give light within, and simultaneously creates a pattern of empty and filled with the facade.
